Brief catchup
with photos!
It’s been a little while! Hi! Mondays have been weirdly busy this year. Here are some photo updates in chronological order.
My gal continues to be the sweetest cat in the whole universe. She had her annual blood test and has a clean bill of health. Her digestive system continues to be tricky when she’s anxious and she’s not doing great at keeping herself clean, but I’m trying to keep on top of it all and keep her a happy beast. In the mornings she is VERY affectionate and has started reaching up to me for scratches which is incredibly cute.
It was my birthday!! I continue to be thirty-something years old and to celebrate, I hosted a quiz about myself. This is me presenting the first-place prize to my pals: a portrait of me which is now in pride of place in their bathroom.
My mums came to visit Bristol! We had a lovely time pootling about the town despite the rain. Spent the day at a spa which was an amazing birthday treat - steam rooms are my absolute favourite thing in the whole world. And we went to Root for dinner and had incredible food and cocktails. My boyfriend Nick came with us and we decided to try and visit one new restaurant each month. We went to Solina in Bath for February and it was soooooo delish with life-changing ice cream for pud.
Don’t talk to me about the gay hockey men unless you are willing to trigger a half-hour unskippable cutscene which ends with me sobbing.
Smushed my cheese man as much as time allowed. Yes that’s one of his multiple tattoos of different kinds of mould, why do you ask?
Took intense psychological damage by visiting Ikea on a Saturday afternoon, but I did get the goods (śledzie, which I discovered I loooooved at Wigilia). Accidentally spent £110 when I meant to spend about £40 but what’s a cool seventy quid between friends?? Honey will definitely be okay with skipping her bedtime salmon oil until payday, right?
In between the above I’ve been playing all the Two Point games and some Sims 4, doing a lot of personal admin and supporting friends with theirs, seeing pals whenever I have the energy, and playing board games. Words cannot express how happy I am to see the sun slowly coming back to us. So excited to bake in the heat as often as possible, but we’ve got the whole of rainy spring to get through first.

That's meeeeee! We are honoured to have you in pride of place making sure everyone washes their hands in our bathroom 🙌
